This is essential in properties where open roof structures would otherwise allow rapid fire spread between rooms or adjoining dwellings.
How should fire curtains be installed in loft or attic spaces?
Fire curtains must be fixed directly to the roof structure using certified brackets, clamps, or fixing rails. The curtain should follow the shape of the rafters and trusses, with all edges fully sealed and any penetrations (such as truss intersections) securely wrapped and fire-stopped.
